Comprising 5 miles of promenade as well as snaking its way through new traffic-free cycle paths and quiet residential streets, this brand-new cycle path also connects to the renowned Viking Coastal Trail for those of you looking to venture further afield, and extends out to Reculver Country Park, an internationally important conservation area for wildlife as a Special Protection Area and Special Site of Scientific Interest. An array of fascinating insect and avian life call the park’s eroding cliff face home, whilst Sand Martins and Skylarks nest nearby. The route also offers access to the famous towers of the medieval church at Reculver, and the ruined remains of a nearby early Roman fort.
